Operations Support Assistant

Due to continued company growth, we are looking to recruit an Operations Support Assistant to support our business in all departments – service / sales / admin / social media… the list goes on and on!

This is a new role within the company and will be incredibly diverse so you will need to be super flexible.

Every day can be different, one day you could be creating social media posts and the next you could even be out onsite giving our service engineers a helping hand.

Compressed air is a very niche industry but don’t worry, we will teach you all you need to know about our compressed air world!

Key Responsibilities:
Report directly to the Operations Manager, working together to achieve operational efficiency.
To assist in the operational and administrative tasks ensuring they are carried out in a timely and reactive fashion.
To assist and provide technical support for customers, suppliers, and service engineers.
Answer enquires from customers/suppliers and raising related documentation as required.
Work closely with the Service Engineers for the planning of reactive and planned maintenance tasks.
To continuously seek ways to improve overall company performance and reduce costs.
To deputise for the Operations Manager in their absence.
Gain in-depth knowledge of products, customers, and demand across both brands.
Gain detailed understanding of the various stock, demand and other IT systems used in the business.

Air Compressor Service Engineer

Due to further expansion & increased machine sales, Airia have a vacancy for a Compressed Air Service Engineer to join our team.

Airia are an authorised premier distributor for Atlas Copco – a premium, world-leading manufacturer of sustainable productivity solutions. So we supply a wide range of energy-efficient industrial air compressors, vacuum pumps, nitrogen generators, quality air products and spare parts.

Location: Successful candidate must live within 30 minutes drive of our head office in Romsey, Hampshire.

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Compressor Service Engineer will deliver a first rate on-site compressed air engineering service to customers. Covering the whole Southern UK region, providing advice, diagnostics, routine maintenance and breakdown repairs / fault finding.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Undertake planned and preventative maintenance of Compressed Air Systems.
  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repair.
  • Take part in Compressor Overhaul & refurbishment works.
  • Install compressor and compressed air systems.
  • Repair broken-down equipment under emergency call-out Rota.
  • Desirable to have some refrigerant skills to work on compressor dryers but not essential.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Electrically / electronically skilled (ideally C&G qualified).
  • Must be based close to Southampton.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required in the designated territory including some travel to areas outside of the immediate region.
